Yoga For Autism

Does your child have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Yes? Well, let me welcome you and let you know that you are not alone. And the fact that you arrived on this page shows that you must really love your child and want to help them the best that you can. So let’s talk about yoga.

Yoga is wonderful for helping people with ASD especially with anxiety. According to  Simonoff et al. (2008), Studies show that 42% of people with autism are also diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. That means that almost half of the people diagnosed with autism are also battling anxiety. This number is alarming. And unfortunately there has been very little done to help people with autism deal with their anxiety. However, there is hope! Research has proven that Yoga can reduce a variety of negative behaviors, including anxiety in people who have ASD.
